Do not disregard a
record solely on a wrong date, over 300 million records were
transcribed, and mistakes were made, especially where the date is out by
exactly 10 years, and numbers with 5, 3 and 8.
Females who were
married at the time of the census would be listed under their married
name, not their maiden name.
Be aware that many
districts now in London, were not in London on early censuses - i.e Lambeth was
in Surrey, Lewisham was in Kent etc; - this also applies to other
counties.
